About Harry’s Point
Harry’s Point is a 7.5-hectare land purchased by owner Harry Alegado in 2020. He and his wife, Ruby Alegado, established a home at what is now Harry’s Point in hopes of bringing in nature enthusiasts like themselves in May of 2021. A short uphill trek is imminent to get to Harry’s Pont. So, expect to catch your breath when you reach there. However, the heaving is worth it when you witness the sight that awaits you.
Since the place is elevated, Harry’s Point will give you a grandeur view overlooking Mati City and the great Pujada Bay. In addition, Mt. Hamiguitan, Pujada Island, and Waniban Island can be seen. Only be sure that it’s not fogging or raining in any way! The view does not disappoint at night, too, as the city lights across Mati illuminate the night, mirroring the twinkling stars above.
The owners have landscaped the surrounding area, showcasing various flowering plants and trees, making the place vibrant with colors. Trees include Mango, Coconut, Mahogany, Narra, Gmelina, Araucaria, and flowering plants like Sulfur Cosmos and the Tapay-Tapay. However, their most highlighted trees to date are the cherry blossom trees that they expect to bloom within the next 4 to 5 years.
What can you do there?
Harry’s Point is open for Birthday Treat, Barkada Treat, or Reunion Treat Packages that are good for 15-20 pax, plus treat exclusives. A great getaway to celebrate special days with your loved ones and friends for a happy and memorable day. With Harry’s Point’s excellent vantage location, sightseeing from there is the best one can experience too.
Aside from a lot of sightseeing, you can do karaoke in their restaurant bar. Simultaneously, their restaurant bar serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In addition, they serve multiple savory dishes like Lechon belly roll, tuna panga, kinilaw, chop suey, pinakbet, Pancit or Sotanghon Guisado, garlic fried chicken, and many more. Furthermore, at night, you can enjoy and indulge in the available drinks until midnight.
Future Plans for Harry’s Point
Mr. Alegado’s goal has been to preserve Harry’s Point’s surrounding area, but he has also planned to develop it since day one. Part of their landscaping plan is planting more trees, flowering plants, and cultivating vegetables. In addition, a glass function area for events like weddings, birthdays, or prenuptials that can accommodate 50 to 100 pax is also part of Mr. Alegado’s prospects.
Moreover, at present, Harry’s Point is yet to offer an overnight stay for its visitors. However, there are plans to build 5-10 cottages to accommodate overnight stays. Alongside these cottages are an additional resto-bar & coffee shop and a bigger pool. Grander plans are yet to come as Mr. Alegado envisions improving the place as a full-blown restaurant and resort.
